Tribeca - Two Girls

Hi, any advice really greatfully received!! I am visiting New York with another girl, we are mid-thirties, love good food, good bars and live music.

We are staying in Tribeca, can anyone give any advice on what we should be doing, going etc etc? Particularly thinking in the evening, as the day is pretty sorted with the usual NY stuff!

Thanks loads in advance.

You%26#39;ll need to be a little more specific in order to get specific recommendations.

Re: restaurants: what sorts of food and what is your budget per person?

Re: bars: what sorts of bars (pubs, cocktail lounges, ironic hipster bars, dives, etc.)?

NOTE: I can%26#39;t reco Bubby%26#39;s anymore b/c the service is awful. Also, the QDT bar and restaurants Azafran and ';fresh'; have closed.

Thanks both, sorry will be more specific. One of us is a vegetarian so that would have to be catered for, generally guess we like asian food plus contempory European or American. Budget of circa $75 per head for a couple of the nights and then $50 or less for the rest of our stay, so maybe a couple of blow outs then some bargains!!

Bars, we really like listening to live music, so any bars that have good music, one of us is into pretty much anything - pop, blues, jazz, funk, the other is into metal but would go for anything if good! Somewhere with a good friendly atmosphere is important, but don%26#39;t mind a bit of pretention for one of the nights, so maybe somewhere a bit rough and ready and also somewhere a bit more cocktaily, We%26#39;re pretty easy going, just want somewhere where the atmosphere is good.

hope this helps you help us!!!

Thanks loads!!
