Accommodation near Yankee Stadium

Hi all, I%26#39;m looking for fairly inexpensive acccommodation near Yankee Stadium. It can be a hotel, motel, B%26amp;B - just needs to be clean, close to public transport %26amp; reasonably priced. In fact it doesn%26#39;t even need to be in Manhattan. I am willing to travel from Jersey if that is a better option. My husband %26amp; I have been to NYC 10+ times so our only purpose on this trip is to see Yankee Stadium.

Is it feasible to stay somewhere on the Jersey shore line and travel to Yankee Stadium?

Any help would be appreciated?!?!?!

Thanks

Sandy

Accommodation near Yankee Stadium

There really isn%26#39;t a whole lot near Yankee Stadium.

How are you travelling? If you%26#39;re driving down from NH, you could stay in Tarrytown at the Doubletree Hotel - it%26#39;ll be less than a half hour drive down.

Accommodation near Yankee Stadium

Yankee stadium is in the Bronx where there are few if any hotels/motels. What are you prepared to pay and how are you getting here? If you don%26#39;t have your own car, really staying in Manhattan and using the subway is your best bet. The Newton Hotel on the upper west side is often affordable.

Yankee Stadium is not in Manhattan, it%26#39;s in the Bronx. There are no hotels near the stadium, stay in Manhattan and take either the 4 or D train to Yankee Stadium like thousands do for every game.

IF you are driving try Fort lee New jersey for Hotels not far from Yankee Stadium.

Try Holiday inn Fort Lee new jersey Or Crowne Plaza Paramus New jersey.

Forgot to say there is also an econo lodge in fort lee. If you are not driving contact this service in fort lee it%26#39;s Babes taxi.

Hello,

The Doubletree has a baseball package for $153 for up to 4 people. It includes full breakfast and some NY state lottery $2 scratch tickets if you show your ticket to the front desk. You can book online at www.tarrytown.doubletree.com

This is pretty close by.

If you are coming down from New Hampshire via I-95, it would make a great deal of sense to stay in New Rochelle in Westchester County. Westchester County is immediately North of the Bronx, and the Stadium is easily accessible by Metro North. Here is the train schedule:

I%26#39;d check out Trip Advisor and the usual web sites for hotel deals in New Rochelle. New Rochelle is about 20 minutes by train to the Bronx.

You do NOT want to stay at any hotel in the Bronx (including the one shown in the link above.)

The sensible thing to do is to stay near mass transit that will take you to Yankee Stadium directly. This gives you three choices:

1) Stay at any hotel that is convenient to a station of the #4 subway.

2) Stay at any hotel that is convenient to a station of the D subway.

3) stay at any hotel that is convenient to a station of the MetroNorth Commuter Railroad Hudson Line.

These choices therefore include almost all hotels in Manahttan, as well as hotels near the station in towns all the way up the Hudson River.

For the Hudson Line schedule, look here:

To give people an idea of distance here, Yankee Stadium is one stop away from Manhattan on the D train and three stops on the 4 train. Staying in Westchester to see a Yankees game doesn%26#39;t really make much sense.
