Hello. Sorry for posting this here, but I can%26#39;t figure out how to e-mail a question to the Hopstop people. If I register my iphone and use the PDA service, do they charge me somehow or is it free? Are there any other iPhone Apps or websites that anyone would care to recommend for visitors to New York?
Does Hopstop charge me if I register my iPhone and use it?
No, Hopstop is a free service.
Urbanspoon is fun; it gives you restaurant recommendations by shaking your phone.

You don%26#39;t have the G3 with GPS, I assume? As for the PDA, I believe it%26#39;s just your normal messaging charges.
You could also try the CityTransit or MetroMagnet apps.
More iPhone apps for NYC:

How do I access Hopstop on my iPhone? Is it an App that is created just for iPhone that I download. Or do I open Safari and navigate to www.hoptstop.com/pda? It seems that Apps created for iPhone are easier to use.
here is another good food web site, for Brooklyn and Queens. www.Mealny.com
That New York on tap is quite possibly the finest thing I%26#39;ve ever seen!
Is the full scale map with all the bars an app or just a website? Either way, my iPhone will access it.
The Hopstop Iphone App only receives 2 stars with nearly 1,000 reviews..many of which from New Yorkers saying it doesn%26#39;t find basic addresses and that you may as well just use the regular website in the browser instead.
Otherwise there is a whole travel section in the App store, covering everything from tracking flights, to packing lists, and the trip advisor restaurant locator.
