I%26#39;m attending Cirque du Soleil this weekend and need a place to stay at (nothing fancy). Can anybody suggest hotel names or recommend any hotels near this area? All suggestions welcome.
Thanks!
Hotels near Randall's Island Park? There are no hotels on Randall%26#39;s Island.
Your best bet is to put your dates into a hotel search engine and see what comes up in your budget. Finding something on the east side would be best.
Hotels near Randall's Island Park?Would it be easier to just take the train to NY?
Yes it would be easier.

I%26#39;d take the train: easier and a roundtrip, weekend ticket could be as low as $36 -- cheaper than gas, tolls and parking.

Use the Check Rates feature for the Pod Hotel and these places on Long Island City (in Queens, just on the other side of the East River) for availability %26amp; comparison pricing:

You might also consider using Priceline, if there are no more than 2 of you traveling together %26amp; if you don%26#39;t mind sharing a bed.
Wonderful! Thank you so much!!
If you want to take the NY Water Taxi which is a fun and easy way to go, it stops at 35th st. %26amp; the East River and 90th st. %26amp; the East River.

You can stay anywhere on the east side, but the Courtyard Upper East Side would be quite close to the 90th st. stop and might be inexpensive. Near the 35th st. stop, the Affinia Dumont and the Murray Hill East Suites would be relatively close. OR, just bid on Priceline if there are just 1 or 2 of you. I%26#39;d bid Empire state area or midtown east and you should be able to get something for ~$120/night. People have already won the Affinia Dumont for $95 (3.5* ESB), the Grand Hyatt for $105-120 and several others. (look on betterbidding.com)
