wedding reception

Hi.

I have posted previously asking for advice on a venue for a wedding party. I originally estimated numbers of approx 30-35, so i was looking for a restaurant.

Now, the numbers have grown (which i am so happy about, as it means more people are travelling to NYC for our wedding) but its making it harder to find a venue!

I am thinking of either getting a smaller function room in a hotel (either the Hudson or the Soho Grand) or having a dinner cruise. I am probably way off, but for some reason I had always thought that the cruises would be a bit tacky or cheesy, but now im starting to think that it could be a really unique way to celebrate our wedding..

Does anyone have any comments on these ideas, either the boat cruise or either of the hotels i mentioned.. or if anyone had a suggestion of a nice restaurant that might take a group of 60 people??

Let me steer you towards the ';Kvetch'; forum boards at IndieBride, a non-commercial, low-key website where the posters (usually women, but there are some men there -- and lesbian couples too) are eager to help each other out with info %26amp; tips.

And, you%26#39;ll receive more -- and more detailed -- info, including up-to-date prices, %26amp; meaningful and fun dialogue than on a travel site.
