coat check at broadway theaters

hi!

could you please help me out with this?

my husband and I are going to see exit the king, the little mermaid, the lion king, rock of ages and west side story in an upcoming trip to nyc.

do you know if any or all of the theaters where these shows take place have coat checks? we are taking a big photo camera and tripod with us everywhere and don%26#39;t want to have a big backpack in the theater.

What are the theaters in question - names please. Have you checked the theater websites for this information?

Most theaters have coat checks - if they allow luggage that is a different story.

For exact information I would contact the theaters individually!

FYI, it isn%26#39;t possible to contact the theater. You%26#39;ll have to contact ticketron.com or telecharge.com. Check their web sites for contact info.

I think most theaters will check a coat (unless it%26#39;s fur), but not camera equipment. I%26#39;m pretty sure they won%26#39;t allow you to even bring it into the theater.

I frequently visit Manhattan in the winter and on my first visit thought coat check would be ideal at theatres. It%26#39;s pretty easy checking in, but takes forever in line to get your coat out. So I don%26#39;t do that anymore.

I would recommend that you leave backpacks and cameras at your hotel for nights at a play.

I can%26#39;t address the coat check question, however,my recent experience at two shows would have me to strongly advise you not to take your camera. The ushers were very unhappy when a camera of any sort or size was taken out.

we don%26#39;t want to take pictures inside the theater, we want our camera for pictures that we will probably take after the show, times square at night, that sort of thing.
