shopping or things to see near water garden theatre

My son%26#39;s band class is taking a bus trip to see Mama Mia. We will have about 45 minutes between the end f the show and our dinner reservations at Mars2112. Are there any shops close by that we would have time to go to or are we better just letting them sightsee in the nearby area?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

FYI, it%26#39;s the Winter Garden, not Water Garden.

That%26#39;s in Times Square, so there%26#39;s plenty to see and many shops to go in.

By the way, I suppose there%26#39;s no way you can change the Mars 2112 reservation? It%26#39;s a theme restaurant for young children--if these are teenagers I imagine they will find it really, really silly.

As for the dinner reservations. I am not thrilled with the choice of restuarant but the teacher selected and we have already placed our orders.

The group is a middle school band so mostly 12-14 year old students.
