Room Requests at Sheraton Manhattan TS?

I just got a good Priceline deal for the Sheraton Manhattan for 3 nights in August. I have seen some reviews that it may be in need of a remodel but I think the location will serve our needs well.

Does anyone have advice on how and what I should ask for in a room request. My wife and I are celebrating our 13 year anniversary and the first vacation in years without our three kids. I%26#39;m crossing my fingers that a call a day or two before check-in might help us get a room with a nice view and in good condition.

I would appreciate any tips or suggestions

I read on another site that rooms that end in 47 are corner rooms. Has anyone stayed in a corner room or other room they would recommend?

You should get a room in good condition at any hotel.

Contact the hotel a day or two before your stay and, as you say, cross your fingers. Since you purchased your room from priceline, not the hotel, the availablity of rooms MIGHT be limited. If the hotel is not busy they will be more flexible.

But remember, you have noting to loose by asking.
