Jazz brunch on saterday in mid town

We are leaving this sat afternnon and my hubby really wants to do a jazz brunch. Are there any nice places in mid town u might want to reccommend? We are on a tight budget so somewhere inexpensive will be great. Thanks! And forgive me for my typos as typing in iPod is really awkward for me yet. Cheers j

I have heard of a good brunch in Garage, its a jazz club in Greenwich Village. I havent been myself for brunch (have been for evening drinks) but it was recommended to me for brunch by a New Yorker friend.. They do an %26#39;all you can drink%26#39; brunch apparently! its unlimited mimosas and other drinks!

To follow up on Carrie%26#39;s great suggestion, here%26#39;s what Big Apple Jazz (a super website %26amp; Gordon Polatnick, who maintains the site, gives terrific jazz tours BTW) has to say about The Garage:

** A funky and spacious two-tiered restaurant with a gregarious and expansive oyster bar/drinks bar and live jazz nightly. Starting as early as 8:00 PM weeknights and 5:45 Fridays and Saturdays, Garage features aspiring jazz groups and living legends, often fronted by a vocalist. No cover. Plenty of outdoor seating. Jazz brunch on Saturdays and Sundays for $12.00 at 12:00 noon. Check schedule for artists such as Yardena, Joel Forrester%26#39;s People Like Us, Sam Ulano, David Coss Trio, and Howard Williams Jazz Orchestra.

That%26#39;s a Beatles brunch, not exactly jazz. Most jazz brunches are on Sunday and most are downtown, not midtown. Seppi%26#39;s in the Parker Meridien hotel does a jazz brunch on Sundays. It%26#39;s unclear whether they also have music on Sat. but you might call them.

In Greenwich Village, Rare Bar %26amp; Grill on Bleecker st. has a Sat. jazz brunch. Their midtown Lexington ave. location no longer does jazz.

Hello! We%26#39;re back from our trip and just wanted to say thanks for all the help! We ended up going to the Garage restaurant and enjoyed it very much so. The music and food was great and reasonably priced!
