Wanted - a GREAT place to buy educational supplies

My brother and I are meeting in New York for a few days next year. He lives in Yorkshire, England, I live in Belize. We are going to spend a lot of time planning, so will post a lot here!

We are both involved in education and would like to shop at a place which sells a wide variety of educational toys, games and school supplies. Not a big conventional Disney stuffed toy shop please.

We will be staying in Manhattan.

Barclay School Supplies in Downtown Brooklyn is like a teachers%26#39; superstore. There is a wide selection of educational products. This isn%26#39;t Disney - It%26#39;s real world supplies for real world teachers.

Just want to give a note here about New York City teachers. As schools continue to have their budgets cut, many teachers can be found at Barclays using their own money to purchase stuff for their classrooms. Here%26#39;s a hearty thank you for all those whose kids go to the public schools in NYC.

I have checked out Barclays on line it it looks ideal.

Here in Belize, the government just pays the teacher%26#39;s salaries, everything else we have to fund ourselves. The children pay equiv US$2.50 per term. I am voluntary manager of a small school and always looking for interesting things to inspire our children. Don%26#39;t ask where the money comes from!
