The village has installed parking meters with central depots on Main street and the adjacent parking lots. It seems to have cleared up the parking problems on Main as many of the former meters were broken amd people were leaving their cars for the day.What intrigued me is that these new machines take Canadian coins, including the $1 and $2 coins! How considerate! Kudos to the Village of Lake Placid.
