Only 11 Hours Between Flight

I have a flight arrviving at JFK at 10:30 am and flying out of LGA at 9:55. Would it be possible to take a taxi to times square and back? I know it would probably take atleast an hour there and an hour back? I wondered the cost of a taxi. Are they easy to get at JFK? I am pretty clueless! Thanks for any help

definatly go and see NYC but if u donot have much luggage try to hop on the airtrain at JFK to Jamaica then use the tube or metro to go to central manahattan it is cheap and convenient or take train to Penn station from jamaica a bit more expensive but if u get the express train it is worth the 7 or 8$ difference.

First is figuring out what to do with your luggage. It sounds like the best idea might be to take it with you into Manhattan and store it with schwartztravel.com

They have lodations near Grand Central and Penn station.

You can certainly take a cab ($45 plus toll and tip or about $60 each way) but there are much cheaper options if you%26#39;re traveling alone. Bus is $15/person and stops at either Grand Central or Port Authority, both good options for having a look around. You can also use the AirTrain/Long Island Railroad for ~$12-14/person which puts at at Penn station.

There might be luggage storage at LGA (I don%26#39;t know-you%26#39;d have to do a search) and you could take a taxi or shuttle bus from JFK to LGA, drop your luggage there for storage or check in and continue on to Manhattan by taxi or bus. LGA is on the way to Manhattan from JFK.

Correction, taxi between LGA and Manhattan is cheaper than JFK and not a fixed price. It usually runs $20-35 depending on traffic. The express bus from LGA is also a few dollars cheaper. JFK to Manhattan is generally at least an hour while travel time to/from LGA can be as little as 20-40 mins. if there%26#39;s no traffic.
