They both look like luxurious transfer companies, do you happen to know any other companies?
well, you can take a cab. Or the Airtrain (monorail) to NJ Transit to Penn Station NY.
But, Allstate, Carmel and Dial 7 are typical car services - not ';luxury'; although you can pay extra for a more luxurious car. They%26#39;re typically black town cars - larger than anything you%26#39;re probably used to seeing in Paris, but not like a limo.
you dont want to take the sort of shuttle that is common to get from CDG - they could take hours to get to your hotel and arent economical for more than 1 person.
I found cheaper rates on New York Shuttle and Supper Shuttle... do you know any of these companies? Are they reliable?
Super Shuttle is the notoriously bad one. Not as bad coming from the airport as going to the airport. But, coming from the airport, you could sit there until they fill the van - then you drive around dropping people off at various locations.
the one time I called them about going to the airport, they wanted to pick me up at 4am for an 11am flight! And, people have reported missing flights while driving around picking people up...
I%26#39;m a strong proponent of cheap airport transit (I would rather wait an hour at Gare de Lyon for the $14 Air France bus than pay 80 euros for a cab for example), but at half the price of the cab/car the shuttles dont make sense here unless you have a lot of time to burn.
Do a search for Super Shuttle here and see.
thanks for the warning.. I%26#39;ll check on that. Im having a hort stay in New York and dont want to waste any time picking up more people
New Jersey Transit. Take the Monorail from your terminal to the rail transfer station.

Hi there,
I would avoid Super Shuttle at all costs. We used them in 2007 and were crammed together like sardines and it took us an eternity to get to our hotel and even longer to get back to EWR for our return flight. It might be the cheaper option but is certainly not the most comfortable or timeous.
My husband and I just got back from NYC this week and used Dial 7 for both transfers. We were highly impressed with the service which cost $54 dollars inc tolls there and $64 dollars inc tolls on the way back. Plenty of room for us and our luggage and a totally stress-free journey.
There are plenty of reviews re: transfers on TA. Good luck with your choice and have a fantastic trip!
Kay.
Thanks a lot, after doing research here and there averyone recommends Dial 7, so thats what we will use, if we take a transfer company. The train looks like a good option too.
Dont get me wrong, I dont mind spending a bit more for good service but this is a multi-city trip and we are spending a lot in transfers already
the train is great. Ever since we got the trains I pretty much always do that to the airport and take a cab back if I%26#39;ve shopped too much....
But if those are 4-5 large bags, it could be a chore. 2 large bags and a few carryons and you%26#39;re fine.
You take the train to NY Penn Station (dont get out at Newark Penn Station by mistake - you want to be underground when you get off the train - not on an elevated platform outside).
Once in Penn Station you can take the subway up to your hotel (but there will be steps exiting the subway) or take a cab. If you%26#39;re taking a cab - try to follow signs to ';8th Avenue'; - that way the cab will be traveling uptown (north) in the direction of your hotel. If you end up on the 7th Ave cab line, they just have to go around the corner.....
