calling all dog lovers!

When I was last in NY I came across a pet shop in the Village which sold JIMMY CHEW and CHEWY VUITTON dog toys - at the time I thought it was quite amusing but had no pooches to buy for. Now my best friend has a puppy and I%26#39;d love to buy her these on my next trip coming up soon - are these easy to find in any pet shop? Please tell me you can still get them - a few web searches I%26#39;ve done indicate they%26#39;re discontinued!

There was a doggie store near Myers of Keswick on Hudson St that sold these. I haven%26#39;t been in there in months, though.

Not sure of the name as I can%26#39;t work it out from Street View on Google Maps, but Myers of Keswick is at 634 Hudson St (near Jane).

Aha! This would be it:

And here%26#39;s a list of stores, so you can perhaps contact them in advance and see if any stock what you%26#39;re looking for:

I gotta say this is such a crazy topic. NYers luv their pooches, sometimes one%26#39;s most ';significant other.';

I am trying to recall another shop in the same neighborhood that has large dog biscuits in the shape of NY icons (taxi%26#39;s, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, etc.) I will see if I can find it...

A few more?

Are we crazy or what??

';Are we crazy or what??';

Yes we are - crazy about our dogs!

And why not?

Whether you leave them for 3 hrs to run errands, or 2 minutes to go to the bathroom, they always greet you with the same tail wagging, jumping excitement, everytime! A dog%26#39;s love is unconditional and we are always perfect in their eyes.

I have a sign on my desk that reads, ';The more people I meet, the more I love my dog';. So true..LOL

How about cat lovers? Any of those in NYC??? LOL!

There are 3 locations in NYC. The one in Greenwich Village (near Beasty Feasty) is at 59 Greenwich Ave bet. 6 %26amp; 7th Ave.

Interesting fact: The store opened in the former (Our) (Your )My Name is Mud pottery-making store (now moved uptown) which, after 9/11 sponsored tile-making. The fence just next door has preserved the tiles, made by local residents.
