They found it at Blue Hill, a low-key Greenwich Village restaurant, and at the Belasco Theater near Times Square for a performance of “Joe Turner’s Come and Gone,” the Tony-nominated August Wilson play.

It was the Obamas’ first joint visit to the city as the first couple. And even cooler-than-thou New York allowed itself a bit of excitement over their arrival. ***

LOL, when I saw your title I immediately thought of Bo Jackson! I guess I%26#39;m still living in the 90%26#39;s (or was it the 80%26#39;s?) Plus I%26#39;m from Alabama and my husband is an Auburn alumnus, so I guess that%26#39;s my excuse!

I%26#39;d like to know how they came to choose Blue Hill. And were they seated in the dining room with other customers---or in a private dining area? Or was the restaurant closed to the public for the Obamas and the SS?
