I believe that there are more things to do in a week in New York than a lifetime in most other places.
I believe that the best places to eat in New York are the smaller restaurants, where the owner is always there making sure things are right, and the chef cooks with both knowledge and love.
I believe in drinking local beer. Brooklyn Brewery, Six Point Craft Ales, Captain Lawrence, Kelso or Blue Point are made here, and are delicious.
I believe that New Yorkers are some of the best people on Earth. Yes, we are quick and often sarcastic, but we are honest and normally willing to lend and ear or a hand.
I believe in raising my kids in the City. They have both the opportunities and independence that kids need to grow. They also don%26#39;t drink and drive, as nobody has cars.
I believe that diversity is our strength - not our weakness. Where else can Israelis own a sushi restaurant that is staffed by Mexicans? All come, and everyone contributes something.
I believe that there is a big difference between travelers and tourists. Tourist want to check off the sites, travelers want to check out the City.
I believe that Disney doesn%26#39;t have any rides as scary as a Yellow cab weaving in and out of traffic at a rapid clip.
I believe that Frederick Law Olmstead was the greatest New Yorker - EVER, and that anyone who visits Central Park, Prospect Park or any of his other amazing parks owes him a debt of gratitude.
I believe that I will never figure out the road system [is there actually a system?] in Queens. The hyphens scare me.
I believe that New York sports fans are the greatest, and most knowledgeable in the world. We will cheer so hard that the stadium rocks. We can also boo louder than anywhere else - except Philadelphia.
I believe that there is more free music in this City than anywhere else on earth. From Buckwheat Zydeco to the New York Philharmonic - it%26#39;s all free.
I believe that we have some of the wildest and best parades. We have the West Indian Day Parade, the Halloween Parade, the St. Patricks Day Parade, the Mermaid Parade, the Thanksgiving Parade, and a parade for every ethnicity under the heavens.
I believe that Brooklyn is the best darn boro in the City.
I believe that the posters on TA are the most well informed about New York. We are up to date and up to the task. Take that Lonely Planet.
You don%26#39;t have to believe what I do. Feel free to disagree with any or all of the above. But....this is what I believe.
What I Believe
I think you have a crush on NYC!!!

Thanks for sharing your passion with us travelers.
I believe, as someone who grew up in Queens, that I will never figure out the road system [is there actually a system?] in Brooklyn.
';I believe that Disney doesn%26#39;t have any rides as scary as a Yellow cab weaving in and out of traffic at a rapid clip.';
Amen to that! LOL
I love that you have a real passion for where you live, your enthusiasm is what made me get interested in Brooklyn.
I am a huge NYC fan. But not sure what you ';believe'; is based on. Your personal experiences? That would be great. Data helps non-believers believe.
Personallly I have had only wonderful visits to New York. I am especially impressed with the helpfulness of the people.
