transit and yankee stadium question

Going to the Yankees game on Saturday. I%26#39;d like to take the train from Milford. I just looked at the metro north train and it said that the fair was 33.50 per person. Does that sound right to you? I am traveling with four other people. Do I have to go into Grand Central and then switch trains to get to Yankee Stadium? I remember going to GC from Milford and I don%26#39;t remember paying that much for the train. That%26#39;s very expensive. Does anyone have any other options as far as parking somewhere? Thanks for your help.

You are looking at round trip fares. The peak hour round trip fare for a ticket bought in the station (and it is doubtful you would be travelling at peak hours in both directions) is $35. The off-peak round trip fare is $26.50. The one-way fare is half of that: 17.50 or 13.25.

Yankee Stadium is on the Hudson Line, which means that you have to change trains at either 125th Street in Harlem (where the New Haven and Hudson lines meet) or at Grand Central.

Which would be easier to make the change. If I drove further into CT, would that cut my fair price?

Full information about fares by station can be found at the MTA website.

Notice that the word is spelled FARE; spelling it correctly will make searching easier.

Thank you for the information.
