Tour companies in New York City - multi day

Hi there,

Can anyone give me the names of some tour companies that operate multi day tours in New York City? I am planning on being there for a few days on my own in October, and I%26#39;m a little nervous so was hoping to find a tour where I could meet some people to see the sights with over that period of time. Or would I be better in just booking into a variety of different day/smaller tours?

I%26#39;m 24 years old, keen to see the sights and have a few nights out in the big city! Any advice is appreciated.

Cheers

Real NY Tours has been getting very good reviews here but it%26#39;s not a multi day tour. I think you%26#39;d be much better doing an overview tour like that (or with one of the bus cos. like Grayline who do the hop on/off tours) and then booking yourself some individual tours whether walking tours or specifically designed on things that interest you (food, art, architecture etc.)

is part tour, part scavenger hunt, part performance art that%26#39;s lots of fun and also a good way to meet people. If you enjoy tasting different foods,

foodsofnyc.com

does a popular Greenwich Village tour and there%26#39;s a literary pub crawl that%26#39;s also fun

You probably don%26#39;t want to do all 3 of those since they all cover the same area. There%26#39;s also a Brooklyn pizza tour that some people have enjoyed.

There are also some free walking tours listed here

Take it easy. There is no need to be nervous about coming to New York on your own. If you want an overview of the city, use the Hop On bus for a day. You can then note what you want to see in more depth and go there via the subway.

Wandering around neighborhoods on your own is a great way to see the City. If you get lonely, duck into one of our many pubs and strike up a conversation. New Yorkers are not shy.

I would also apply for a Big Apple Greeter. This is a program that matches up visitors with New Yorkers for a free tour, usually something off the beaten path. The service is free, but it is not guaranteed that you%26#39;ll get a greeter. Here%26#39;s the website:
