Never Been to NY!!

Hi I am going to be going to New York for the first time. It is a short layover so I will have about 2 days. Please help me, We will be flying into EWR. I want to know how to get downtown (by train?) and what area to look for hotel? Some of the things we want to do are go to Times Square, Central Park. I just feel so lost because I dont know anything about this huge city!! I need someone to point me in the right direction. Thanks :)

Hi Strongs - 2 days isn%26#39;t much. To get from EWR to downtown, you may want to see if SuperShuttle will take you.

I would recommend staying in or near the theater district. The New York Hilton or Warwick may be good or perhaps one of the Hampton Inns near Times Square.

You will be able to walk or take a short train ride to Central Park and they will be able to give you directions at the hotel. You may want to get a 1 week membership to www.clubfreetime.com for $1.95. It lists free events in NYC and sometimes they include walking tours of Central Park and classical concerts.

LaSagna on 52nd and 9th has good Italian food and www.menupages.com can give you more ideas.
