I imagine that during the summer concert series that the Today Show is more crowded than ever. What time should we be there if we want to get very close to the front of the line - where does the line form?

If I was one of the first there I don%26#39;t know where they have the concert series. Do they already have the area blocked off at 5 in the am? Also, where can we get poster board, and other items to make signs? Someone had suggested Lee%26#39;s= but I have e-mailed them 3 times to get information and have not gotten a reply. Any dollar stores around the area of Rockefeller or close by?

There are no dollar stores anywhere remotely near Rockefeller Center, and Lee%26#39;s is definitely the best place for you to go. An art supply store isn%26#39;t going to pay employees to respond to e-mail questions promptly, so you need to call them on the telephone if you have specific questions.

Having led tour groups there, I%26#39;d say to get to Rockefeller Plaza no later than 6:30 AM.

CBS Early Show goes all out to attract people to see their show at 59th and 5th, with celebrity autographs, hot drinks and doughnuts. NBC kinda herds ya into place, they have so many people coming.

What are the hours for the CBS show? Is that also outside? Do you need to get there in the wee hours of the morning also? Do they film on Saturday morning also?

The Early Show runs from 7-9 AM. They also offer backstage tours (free) after the show.

Some Duane Reade stores do indeed stock poster board, but I think Staple%26#39;s would be a better bet: there%26#39;s one at at 57 W. 57th Street, between 5th %26amp; 6th Avenues, another at 575 Lexington Ave., at E. 51st Street.

I think it%26#39;s unrealistic to expect that there%26#39;s someone answering e-mails at Duane Reade%26#39;s corporate headquarters who is going to know precisely what%26#39;s in stock at the DR closest to your hotel. Plus, even if the poster board is in stock today, that doesn%26#39;t mean it will be there the day you walk through the door.

Why not just simply pop by the closest DR -- or a better bet imo the Staples -- once you get here? Scarcely a detour from your hotel.

I did get ahold of them and someone is going to get prices for me and get back to me- maybe you think I%26#39;m stupid for doing this, but I%26#39;m not a New Yorker.
