EASTDECK INN- how far from town?

Hello! My husband and I have heard great things about eastdeck, but not sure how far it is from town. Can we rent bikes nearby? Is the town bikeable from east deck inn? How about places to eat nearby?

The Eastdeck is not too far from town about 2 miles. You can rent biles in town. As for eating some of the best places are either in town or at the docks ( about four miles). Montauk does have taxi service to get around.

We stayed at the Eastdeck a long time ago, very basic motel, great location but like I said very basic rooms.

Do you realize you could answer your own question by going to

Just type the name of the place (ie East Deck Montauk, NY) and click on the right place. Then use the search nearby feature for restaurants or bicycle rentals. There%26#39;s a bike rental in town but yes, town is about 2 miles from this motel. I think the closest restaurant to the motel is the Crow%26#39;s Nest which is just under a mile away. Realistically you%26#39;ll either have to depend on taxis or rent a car.

If you%26#39;re not going to have a car, staying in town is a much better idea. The Ocean Surf has it all...on the beach, pool, right in town and very good reviews.
