My mom and I will be in NYC for just two nights, Friday and Saturday. On Friday we%26#39;re going to the National Comedy Theater and want to go out for drinks someplace nice but not too expensive (I don%26#39;t really even know what that means by NY standards, please let me know what to expect!). I%26#39;m 24 and married, my mom is 54 and single if that makes any difference. I don%26#39;t think we%26#39;re interested in dancing, mainly just people watching and enjoying the city. We are staying in Long Island City and are willing to go anywhere in Manhattan. Any suggestions?

More $$$: Feinstein%26#39;s, Algonquin Room, etc.

And just an FYI, Long Island City is home to a very hot bar right now called Dutch Kills. As you%26#39;ll be in the neighborhood, it might be worth a peek:
