New york fly drive

Hi Guys last year my husband and I went to boston and did a fly drive we went around New england North coast, we did cape cod as well we are planning a visit for two weeks to New york for a fly drive the beginging of September can anyone suggest where to go we like sea sun shopping dining, any ideas would be great xxxxxxxxxxx

Head north into the Hudson Valley for pretty scenery, shopping and dining.

Head east onto Long Island for everything you list:

shopping at outlet malls

beach on Fire Island, the Hamptons and Montauk

Head south to New Jersey for other beaches and shopping.

Interestingly, there is a similar post going on regarding NYC and Beaches. It could be nice to combine a drive to the Washington DC area and the coast. there are some very good beaches on the way down or close by.

What about west? Pennsylvania, esp. Lancaster County (Amish, farmland, you can even stay overnight at an Amish farm).
