I need to get to EWR for a 7 50 AM flight (International). I will be in Manhattan. I prefer not to take the train due to the hour of the day. What is the cheapest means of transport, taxi or car service and please more or less what would be the time needed to allow for the ride? This is Sunday AM. I will be in the meat packing district. Thanks

I%26#39;ll start by saying based on a lot of experience, I%26#39;m one who believes that 2 hours prior to an international flight is fine, unless I%26#39;m flying the day after a huge snow storm has cancelled a lot of flights.... If you believe in 3 hours before, build in another hour to what I advise below.
I%26#39;d leave at 5am - you%26#39;ll be there by 530....(more like 520). I normally take the train, but I dont think its even an option at that time. Would reserve a car. A cab can refuse to take you to Newark.... People also talk about buses that leave from Port Authority - have no idea when they start running, and by the time you get to Port Authority, you%26#39;re 1/2 way to Newark.

Hello
I got a ride from a service 1 212 333 3333, for 46 plus tolls and tip. They are getting me at 5 30 so I should be there 6. That leaves enough time to check in and get a snack.
Thanks
Actually, Newark Airport is the one destination in New Jersey to which a NYC taxi CANNOT refuse to go.
The fare to Newark is the meter, plus all tolls in BOTH directions (the cab needs to cross back under the Hudson even if you are not in it), plus $15, plus any tip.
