Lucerne, Beacon, or Affinia Dumont?

We are a family of four with a 5 and 6-year old and cannot decide between the Lucerne, Beacon, or Affinia Dumont for accommodations. I%26#39;ve looked at all 3 websites and the prices are comparable to one another, but we%26#39;re looking for a safe neighborhood. If anyone has stayed at all 3 and can offer suggestions, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Lucerne, Beacon, or Affinia Dumont?

The Lucerne and the Hotel Beacon are just blocks apart on the Upper West Side. Think that%26#39;s a better neighborhood for you than the Affinia Dumont. You%26#39;ll be within easy walking distance of Central Park %26amp; the American Museum of Natural History, which I%26#39;m assuming are destinations for your family.

Lucerne, Beacon, or Affinia Dumont?

All the hotels are in a safe neighborhood. The issues are:

%26gt;would you prefer being in midtown near say the Empire state building and Fifth ave. (Affinia Dumont) or would you prefer to be closer to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History and the Children%26#39;s Museum (Beacon %26amp; Lucerne)?

%26gt;what size rooms/suites would you get at each and relative price.

The Beacon and the Affinia Dumont are both suite hotels so most rooms have a kitchen and you can get a 1 bedroom suite with separate living for more space and privacy. While I think the Lucerne has suites, they%26#39;re not typical there.

I think the Beacon is nicer and more recently renovated than the Lucerne so if prices are equal, I%26#39;d choose b/w the Beacon and the Affinia Dumont.

thanks to you both for responding so quickly!!
