Hubby is insistent on going back to Grimaldi%26#39;s on our next trip but we%26#39;ll have our 4 yr old and I don%26#39;t want to wait on line for an hr for Grimaldi%26#39;s with her. I searched chowhound and yelp and found Fascati. Lots of good reviews ';better than Grimaldi%26#39;s'; many say, so why no mention of it on this forum? I%26#39;d be curious to know what anyone out there thinks of this place.
Is it fairly close to Grimaldi%26#39;s? Thanks.
Fascati Pizza in Brooklyn
It%26#39;s pretty good. You can get pizza by the slice there, unlike Grimaldi%26#39;s. Ignazio%26#39;s is a bit closer to Grimaldi%26#39;s, if your plan is to check the line there first.

I sent someone to Ignazio%26#39;s and they reported it being very good. Have you tried it Crans?
Whiz, you beat me to it. Have you tried Ignazio%26#39;s, Crans? Thanks for the tip. I%26#39;ll look it up.
I have not, no. It just opened maybe 4-6 weeks ago. I believe that bilmin, who occasionally posts on here, has been and likes it.
A piece of unsolicited advice: If your husband is so insistent on going to Grimaldi%26#39;s, maybe think about letting him wait in line while you and your daughter walk down to the water or stroll through Dumbo. (My thinking is that if he really wants Grimaldi%26#39;s, anywhere else you go is going to be sub-par automatically.)
PS Every time I see this thread title, I think it says ';Fascist Pizza in Brooklyn';!
Crans ..... also ..... how about %26#39;Lucali%26#39; in Carrol Gardens?
I love Lucali! Just didn%26#39;t think it would be walkable from Dumbo w/a 4-year-old. (Though I suppose they could take the F to Carroll.)
If you do convince him to go somewhere new, tm07, LP%26#39;s idea is the best one.
