Apts. for rent in NYC

I found an Apt for rent in NYC on VRBO - have corresponded with the poster but no money has been forwarded. She provided the exact address when I asked for it, and has some good reviews from previous clients on her VRBO ad. I have looked over the previous threads on TA regarding apt rentals in NYC and am now very skeptical of going any further with this particular rental. This poster also advertises on bestnycvacationapt.com.Should I just bag the whole VRBO thing?
