Manhattan to Newark

I need to get to EWR for a 7 50 AM flight (International). I will be in Manhattan. I prefer not to take the train due to the hour of the day. What is the cheapest means of transport, taxi or car service and please more or less what would be the time needed to allow for the ride? This is Sunday AM. I will be in the meat packing district. Thanks
