Niagara Falls Canada vs US

I%26#39;ll be driving from Toronto and looking to spend one day/night in Niagara Falls. Any suggestions on which side of the border to stay on? Is one different than the other, in vibe or amenities?

Thanks much.

I%26#39;ll second that. IMO there is no comparison -- Canadian side wins hands down on every account. Our family has been there many times, and wouldn%26#39;t ever consider staying on the US side. Not to mention the exchange rate is usually pretty good!

Hi marybindc;

Definitely the Canadian side ! Why ?

• Just about every view YOU have seen of the Falls was taken from the Canadian side.

• Cleaner

• Much more to see and do.

Here is an interactive map of Niagara Falls Canada.

The view is facing the US side, with the Fallsview area on the right side, and Clifton Hill on the upper left. Click on a building, and a new page will open with a description and details.

Just a reminder...Effective June 1st 2009, you will require one of the following to cross the border by LAND;

• U.S. Passport

• U.S. Passport Card

• Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL)

• Trusted Traveler Program Card

Kids 15 and under just need their birth certificates.

I agree...stay on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. It is cleaner, has better views of the falls, and there is much more to do on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls.

Hope this helps! Have a great trip!
