June, Bachelorette Party

Group of 10 (ages range from 25-35). Looking for ideas of places to eat/go out in the Village. I am somewhat familiar with the area just looking for other suggestions. Thanks.

June, Bachelorette Party

What time of year will you be going? When you go out, will you want a dance club/live music/sports bar? Are you staying in Lake George?

June, Bachelorette Party

First or Second weekend in June. We will be staying in Fort Ann so we will be driving into the village, places outside downtown for dinner would work but the preference would be to park then do dinner/nightlife. I am sure they want dancing and I think live bands would be fun as well.

Thanks for any help!

I really love A Taste of Poland if you like polish food. Capri has pretty good pizza but no ambiance. Otherwise, go for someplace like the Boardwalk or the Shoreline Restaurant where you can have a nice view. The food is just ok at both places, nothing special. The bar up the street (I believe it is Amherst Street) from the Boardwalk usually has live music on the weekends, so does the Boardwalk (or a dj...) There is a dance club up across from Fort William Henry Resort, next to the pancake house, but I can%26#39;t remember the name of it and I haven%26#39;t been there in years. (maybe someone else can help?)

You may want to consider an evening cruise on one of the ships if the weather is nice! Have fun!

Oh geez- I forgot to warn you that you will probably be there during Americade. Just FYI...

totally forgot about americade! It will make for a crowded Lake George!

You guys have to come visit Adirondack Winery! Its a new micro-winery in Lake George. They make all their wines on premises and have a large selection. A wine tasting session is $5 and includes a souvenir glass to take home with you. The shop is right on Canada street across from Shepard Park. www.adirondackwinery.com

Sam -- thanks for the tip on Adirondock Winery. This must be where the strip of stores burned down?

Meg -- The nicest view on the lake for drinks is Simmple Simons (used to be Shepards Cove). Not a great place to eat but sitting out on their deck for drinks is really nice. don%26#39;t go the first weekend in June. That%26#39;s Americade.

I think Americade weekend would be fun for a Bachelorette party, but I guess not if you%26#39;re driving into the village.

Last year, we finally got in after an hour of sitting in traffic and seriously could not find one parking spot. We ended up just leaving. But, the year before, when we did find parking--we had a blast out in the village with all the bikers. It%26#39;s definitely a lively weekend!

I would have to agree with at least starting at Simple Simons or Christie%26#39;s. From there, you could just go wherever the crowds are. Anywhere lake side is fun on a warm night.

Simple Simons same as shepards cove?

Yes-

Simple Simon%26#39;s is the old Shepard%26#39;s Cove.

It is right next to Shepard%26#39;s Park at 3 Lower Montcalm Street. 668-4988. HTH
