thinking of flying with our daughters (ages 9 %26amp; 12) from LAX to New York city then taking train to Niagara Falls, renting a car and driving into Ontario, Canada, then driving back to U.S. and flying from ? to LAX over spring break April 1-11, 2010. Is it too much? Any ideas? We have 4 free roundtrip tickets on United that have to be used and are only good for travel in the 48 contiguous.
Is it possible?
More people will see your question if you post on the NY CITY forum (or the Buffalo forum). Very few see the NY Forum.

I%26#39;ll take a stab though. The train trip from NYC to Niagara Falls is long and boring and it%26#39;s not cheap. If the objective of your trip is to go to Canada, you can fly to Buffalo NY on United with an intermediate stop somewhere. You could then rent a car in Buffalo and drive into Canada.
Your other option if you want to visit NYC is to pay for your own flights from NYC to Buffalo on some other airline rather than taking the train.
