My husband and I will be spending 1 night in the city and we want to be near the village area. We want a nice, clean, romantic hotel. I%26#39;ve found a few and was wondering if anyone had opinions.
The Bowery Hotel, Washington Square Hotel, Soho Grand, Tribeca Grand
Also the Gramercy Park Hotel- Is this too far?
And..... The Mercer Hotel. Worth the extra money???
Thanks.
Hotel near village/soho
Hi
The Gramercy park hotel is like a 20 min walk from let%26#39;s say Washington square hotel. I think this hotel is so nice.
I think I would narrow it down between Tribeca Grand and the Bowery for my opinion out of your choices.
Hotel near village/soho
The W Union Square is the nicest hotel in/near the village. Cooper Square is a new hotel in the east village.
In Soho, 60 Thompson is worth considering. Whether the Mercer is ';worth the extra money'; to you, I don%26#39;t know since you haven%26#39;t told us how much more it is and what it is you%26#39;re doing/seeing while here... or what YOU consider romantic.
The Hotel on Rivington is in the same area as the Bowery (lower east side) and has some rooms with soaking tubs, nice views and includes breakfast. Good prices appear on quikbook often. The Thompson LES is also new in that area. In fact all but 1 hotel in the
thompsonhotels.com
group are in downtown neighborhoods.
Only you can decide whether the Gramercy Park Hotel- is this ';too far.'; It%26#39;s about a mile from Washington Square park or ~ 20 min. walk.
