Hi guys,
I am coming to New York in little over a months time! I am coming with a friend, but we will probably separate for a day or two (NYC is part of a longer trip so a day apart is welcomed!) and we both have different ';must sees';. We are staying in Eastgate Tower, thanks to recommendations from you guys! Just a few quick questions:
1. I know about MenuPages.com and have been using it - but it is a little overwhelming! This trip is a Uni graduation present, so we don%26#39;t have a huge budget! My friend has been to NYC before and said she ate cheaply at chains like TGI Fridays etc.. But obviously I%26#39;d rather avoid chains, but eat at independent places that are around the same price range. Anyone know any good Mexican places around our hotel (East 39th Street and 2nd Ave?) for the first night? And any good Lebanese places? Here we don%26#39;t have any of those places, besides chains like Chilli%26#39;s. Any other recommendations, in any area would be cool - we are both pretty open minded and will try anything. We have been recommended Dave and Busters (we won%26#39;t be expecting %26#39;great food%26#39; but just the experience!) and Max Brenners!
2. I am fairly into the music ';scene'; and have heard that Williamsburg and East Village are cool places to be. My question is - Williamsburg seems pretty cool from what I%26#39;ve seen, and everywhere I read about the %26#39;vibe%26#39; but is it a place to people-watch and just wander around and soak it up, or are there things to do? Could I spend a full day there? If not, would it be a good idea to do Willaismburg and Coney Island on the same day? I understand they%26#39;re both in Brooklyn but it%26#39;s a little hard to get my head around distances and proximities.
3. I%26#39;m considering taking the %26#39;Sex and the City%26#39; tour but was hoping for a more general TV/Film tour but can%26#39;t seem to find any. Anyone know of any?
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks! :)
Few Questions!
The same company that offers the Sex and the City tour has other choices -- including 2 more general ones -- as well:

The best time to be in Williamsburg, imo, is on a nice Saturday afternoon and evening.
For concerts, you might have a look at

Williamsburg and Coney Island are not close to each other and there is no easy way to get between the two--any route involves multiple subway transfers.
Thank you!!
So much choice - we have so few types of cuisine here! No wonder the potato famine had such an effect. And thanks for the concert listing site - I had been trying the bowery ballroom site but the listing part seems to be down.
Btw, two Lebanese places I like are ilili:

and
Al Diwan:
