Belvedere vs. Loews Regency

We have 2 hotels currently booked:

#1). Belevedere - Deluxe Queen

#2). Loews Regency - Superior King

Looking for suggestions on which one to keep? Both are around the same price and location close to Central Park is a plus for the Loews, but it has some questionable reviews.

Thanks in advance...

Belvedere vs. Loews Regency

Both are the same price??? Are you sure? The Belvedere is a fine budget hotel. The Loew%26#39;s Regency is quite an upscale 4* place on Park Ave. I find it hard to believe you%26#39;ve got the name correct.

Belvedere vs. Loews Regency

nywhiz, yes I know it%26#39;s hard to believe, but I got the Loews Regency on Park Avenue booked through easyclicktravel.com for a little lower price than the Belvedere.

Some reviews here said the Loews is ';tired';, but a 4* ';tired'; hotel should still be pretty nice?

Well, I would prefer the Regency to the Belvedere but I suppose if you%26#39;re doing a lot of theater the Belvedere location is better. The questionable reviews for the Regency are likely from people expecting 4* opulence and paying for it.

Our thoughts as well - thanks for the reply. Love this site and community around it. We%26#39;ll post our thoughts when we return.

One thing you may want to check on - are the deluxe rooms at the Belvedere renovated? I know the executive rooms are, and they are very nice, with marble baths and kitchenette areas. When I went last year, the deluxe rooms were not renovated, and if that is still the case, they may be a bit tired. Hopefully, the entire hotel is renovated now, but you may want to call and ask them.
